PRIVATE LESSONS

Brandon Bowling, PGA Director of Golf, offers private individual, private series, and private group lessons. The individual lesson is perfect for those who have one particular area in their game that needs professional instruction. Work with Brandon for 30 to 45 minutes to diagnose the problem and develop proper practice techniques to keep the problem from reoccurring.

SERIES OF PRIVATE LESSONS

A series of four lessons is ideal for those who would like to work on all aspects of the game. Spend one 30 to 45 minute session working on putting, the next session working on chipping, the third session working on iron shots, and the fourth session working on woods. Or, work with to specialize your own unique schedule to best meet the areas that you would like to improve.

Choose the private group lesson if you are vacationing with the family or staying with friends. Group lessons allow you and your spouse or you and your friend to enjoy instruction together. Enjoy the fun, relaxed atmosphere together as Brandon provides you and your guest with helpful and easy to follow game improving tips and practice routines.

PRIVATE OR GROUP COURSE LESSONS

On course instruction is one of the best ways to receive instruction from a Golf Professional.  It provides real life problems and allows your professional to give you real solutions to on course situations.   On course instruction puts players in tricky lies with real shot pressure to perform.  Teachers will be able to talk about course management along with the best way to prepare your mental state before a shot and how to handle a bad swing.  On course instruction is invaluable to a player trying to develop his or her game.

2026 Junior Golf Lessons
Every Sunday from 1:30–3:00 PM for ages 8–17, and 1:30–2:15 PM for juniors 7 & under. Just $35 per session for ages 8–17 and $30 for ages 7 and under.

We keep it fun while teaching the fundamentals—full swing, chipping, pitching, sand shots, putting & more. Plus, juniors get to play on our new Hot Shots Top Tracer Driving Range featuring Angry Birds, Go Fish, long drive competitions & more!

Parents—relax with a drink or lunch on the Longboards deck while the kids tee off and have fun!

First Tee is a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, we create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do. We’re Building Game Changers through our junior golf programs.

Experiences are our greatest teacher. First Tee believes in developing the ones that are just as fun as they are meaningful, where kids feel excited to grow, safe to fail, and better equipped for whatever comes their way next. Through our golf-based personal growth programs, we see kids build life and leadership skills that empower them in all areas of  life, including school, friendships and eventually careers.

PPJG will hold its annual Piners Junior Golf Camp. The camp is appropriate for junior golfers of all ages and skill levels. We teach campers the skills of the game, rules, and etiquette, in a fun environment. Daily Prizes and Equipment are provided for all juniors. Join us at Plumas Pines for a great year of Junior Golf!

Monday-Thursday 1:00-5:00pm. All Ages Welcome

Head Golf Professional

Over the past 30 years I have played junior golf as a member of the Northern Nevada Junior Golf Association, high school golf for Loyalton High School, college golf for California State University Stanislaus, and professional golf. I have also spent 26 of those 30 years as a Plumas Pines Golf Resort employee, 15 as the Head Professional.
At age 41, I have been very active in teaching because I greatly enjoy helping others improve their game. I balance my instructional time between individual and group lessons, clinics and schools. Over the past 22 years I have expanded from the traditional individual lesson to junior golf clinics, men’s and ladies’ club clinics, and golf academies with over 150 students. I have also added video instruction with a take home cd/dvd of your lesson.
Golf has awarded me with the opportunity to meet many interesting people, play many amazing golf courses, cherish many great memories, and, most of all, have a lot of fun. I hope my commitment to the people, the game, and the business of golf will help to instill positive influences upon all those I meet.
