I graduated from the Professional Golfers Career College where I was the captain of the Ryder Cup Team. From there I joined the Walley Armstrong School of Instruction. Upon graduation I became a certified instructor.
As an expert in Video Analysis at Plumas Pines, we have state of the art video equipment.
In my many years of golf instruction one thing is very clear with students, what they "feel" they are doing and what they are actually doing many times can be different. They think they are accomplishing what they need to be doing but in fact are far from it.
With instant Video feedback from our state of the art video equipment, we can better identify the problem areas of your golf swing. We can determine when the feeling produces the right movement and take learning and performance to the next level.
I have been focused on a career in golf since I started playing junior golf and high school golf in San Diego. I have been employed in the golf industry for the past six years during which time I elevated myself from a cart kid and driving range picker to an accomplished player and teaching pro.
I have been an active associate of the PGA since June, 2007. During the summer months, I have worked at Plumas Pines Golf Resort where I have been providing individual lessons as well as instructing in the Feather River Golf Academy and the Plumas Pines Junior Golf Camp. During the winter months, I have worked and taught golf at Roster Run Golf Course in Sonoma County while attending Sonoma State University earning degrees in Financial Economics and Business Administration.
My lesson philosophy has always been that golf must first be fun, then we work together to raise your level of play to its maximum. My goal is to teach everyone to have as much fun as I do in golf. Golf can be played and enjoyed by all ages and genders. I am also qualified to match you with the proper equipment and to make repairs to your existing equipment such as regriping and reshalfting in order to reach that new level of golf.
Over the past 19 years I have played junior golf as a member of the Northern Nevada Junior Golf Association, high school golf for Loyalton High School, college golf for California State University Stanislaus, and professional golf. I have also spent 14 of those 19 years as a Plumas Pines Golf Resort employee, five as the Head Professional.
At age 31 I have been very active in teaching because I greatly enjoy helping others improve their game. I balance my instructional time between individual and group lessons, clinics and schools. Over the past 10 years I have expanded from the traditional individual lesson to junior golf clinics, men’s and ladies’ club clinics, and golf academies with over 150 students.
Golf has awarded me with the opportunity to meet many interesting people, play many amazing golf courses, cherish many great memories, and, most of all, have a lot of fun. I hope my commitment to the people, the game, and the business of golf will help to instill positive influences upon all those I meet.
